To groke is to beg for food. One could use it in the following context: -
I turned round to my dog and told it firmly to stop groking, sadly Billy is just a boxer and therefore didn't fully understand the command and continued to watch my sandwich intently.
Love this word - starts off smooth then goes bouncy - much like boondoggling does.
